Interactive grassbox

The interactive grassbox is about exploring the possibility of integrating the sensation of touch and the feel of different materials in media art.


The container is completely covered with artificial grass. A peephole on top enables the viewer to see inside the box. By caressing the walls and speaking to it he can light a miniature landscape in an otherwise completely dark interior. The colors of the projected light are triggered by different vowels. That way he has to establish a “closer relationship” in order to see what it’s all about.
