ED is a sound pickup system of three styli, inspired by Tim Burton’s famous protagonist with his scissorhands. The aim of this work was the idea to construct a sound-styli-hand that can be controlled with the Arduino-Board and › SensorAktor-Shield. Each stylus can be used independently to move left, right, up and down in order to play well targeted grooves of a vinyl record.
The three styli are grouped into one system and can be launched simultaneously on the vinyl or separated from each other. The aluminum rods are moved by a servo motor to left and right. Small lifting solenoids are planned for the up and down motion.
