Rhythm Apparatus on Overhead, a Philosophical Toy

The rhythm apparatus on overhead is a robotic device that I use for demonstrating core principles of embodied cognition: emergence and the interplay of brain, body and environment. At the same time I use the device as an instrument for audiovisual performances. With this combination of communicating scientific insight and amusement and entertainment, I consider the apparatus as a philosophical toy.
