Pixelache Festival

Two projects from Lab3 are part of PIXELACHE festival on the Soumenlinna island in Finland: Laura Popplow and Tine Tillmann present their project FUNGIFICTION // FUNGUTOPIA in the exhibition of the festival. Jakob Penca and Lasse Scherffig will present the Flux Map Framework within the workshop „Mapping in Progress“.

FUNGIFICTION // FUNGUTOPIA is an utopian installation by Laura Popplow and Tine Tillmann dealing with Reishi mushrooms and their positive effect upon the whole world. The project has originally been developed for the exhibition Heavy Matter at ISEA2010 RUHR.

Flux Map is a work-in-progress by Jonas Hansen, Jakob Penca and › Lasse Scherffig that aims at constructing a framework for tracking multiple individuals and relating their respective traces through contemporary mobile devices. Using techniques of tesselation, clustering and mapping, these traces together form a fluid map, based on movement.
