Generally it was the first experience for me with psycical computing or the arduino/sensor-actor technology. Very interesting for me as a student from the Movie/TV department.
Anyway, after the introduction in the seminar and some tries with different types of motors, I will try to construct a machine, where a ball/bowl is hanging down from the ceiling and it will be impossible for somebody to grab at the ball. by approaching, the ball should lift up in the same speed as a hand comes near to the ball. Indeed, very biblical!
For a first set up I used a bootle filled with water to simulate different weights. Furthermore there are still some more tries with the motors necessary and also the most important thing: which kind of sensor will be needed? At the moment it looks like using a motion tracking system, with a camera which is placed over the construction towards the ground would work best.
